A handmade birdseye link chain in solid 9ct yellow gold. It is a less common pattern than a curb, and a more demanding one to build: each link is drawn out into a long scrolled form with an open eye at its centre, and the links nest into one another so the chain lies perfectly flat while the eyes run in an unbroken line down its length.
4.5mm wide and 25.55 grams over 55 centimetres, in solid gold throughout. Polished across the raised surfaces with the openings left clean, so the pattern stays legible at arm's length as well as close up.
