The heaviest chain in this collection: 29.32 grams of solid 9ct yellow gold across 60 centimetres, in Cuban links 4.4mm wide. Substantial enough to be the whole of an outfit rather than an accent to one.
The links are deeply rounded and polished across every face, with the solder joins worked back flush so the chain runs smooth under the fingers. At this scale every link has to sit exactly right, because nothing can be hidden at 4.4mm — and there is no hollow core here making the gold go further. The weight is metal.
